How can a dietitian and nutritionist help manage cancer?
Cancer Prevention & Care
Following a healthy, nutritionally-balanced, wholesome diet can help prevent certain types of cancer and reduce the risk of others.
For this reason nutritionists and dietitians are essential in the prevention and management of diseases such as cancer.
Please note: Although we have a large and diverse group of dietitians and nutritionists, we may not be able to help all cancer patients seeking oncology nutrition support. Please contact us to see if and how our practitioners can help.
Our team of dietitians and nutritionists offer cancer nutrition support for patients in a number of ways.

- Provide guidance to help you modify your diet that may be required (e.g., GI cancers, post-surgery).

- Discuss what foods to eat and what foods to avoid for each individualized case.
- Create a personalized cancer diet plan based on foods you enjoy, your lifestyle, budget, sensitivities and allergies, other restrictions, and more.
